Welcome to CoupleChecks.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and digital products. By using our website, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Use of the Website

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services (including LoveBites™ and Love Note Generator Pro).
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and not in a way that may damage, disable, or impair the site or interfere with others’ use.

2. Products and Services

We offer:

Relationship guides and digital workbooks
Compatibility assessments and quizzes
Event planning for couples
Couple gifting and surprise coordination
Travel and tour planning
LoveBites™ AI suggestions (Smart Meal & Drink) — AI-generated ideas intended for information and enjoyment
Love Note Generator Pro (LNGP) — categorized non-AI love notes and optional AI-personalized notes

All digital product sales are final once delivered or accessed.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Digital Products: Non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.
Event Planning, Gifts, Surprise & Travel Services: 70% refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of payment and work has not begun. Non-refundable thereafter.
Subscription Services: 70% refundable if cancelled within 24 hours of initial payment. Non-refundable after that period.
Assessments & Quizzes: Non-refundable once processed.
AI Single-Use Purchases (e.g., LNGP AI notes, LoveBites passes if offered): Non-refundable once any use is consumed or access begins. Where unused refunds are permitted, this will be shown at checkout and requests (if allowed) must be made within 24 hours of purchase. Local law may provide additional rights.
Immediate Access to Digital Content (UK/EU): By choosing to access an AI or digital item immediately (e.g., generating an AI love note), you request immediate performance and acknowledge you lose your 14-day cancellation right once access begins.

4. User Accounts

Some features require registration and email verification.
You are responsible for your credentials and for all activity under your account.
Do not share, resell, transfer, or otherwise allow others to use your access, passes, or credits.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or harmful content;
Scrape, bulk-query, or attempt to bypass rate limits, cooldowns, or paywalls;
Reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the service;
Use outputs as professional advice (medical, legal, nutritional, psychological, financial).

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on CoupleChecks.com (logos, quizzes, guides, graphics, text, and software) is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written consent.

AI/Generated Content:

You retain ownership of the prompts you provide. You grant us a non-exclusive license to process them in order to provide and improve the services.
Outputs (e.g., AI notes) may not be unique and may be similar to outputs provided to others.
You are responsible for ensuring your prompts and use of outputs do not violate rights of others.

7. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services including but not limited to OpenAI (content generation), PayPal (payments), Google reCAPTCHA (abuse prevention), and ipinfo.io (coarse geolocation). Your use of features that rely on these providers may be subject to their terms and policies. Availability may vary or be restricted by those providers.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our tools (including LoveBites™ and LNGP) are for informational/entertainment purposes only and are not professional advice. Always verify ingredients, allergens, and dietary suitability independently.

9. Love Note Generator Pro (LNGP) — Additional Terms

a. Description. LNGP provides:

Non-AI notes: curated, categorized love notes.
AI-personalized notes (optional): generated by an AI provider based on your inputs.
LNGP is for entertainment and personal expression only; it is not therapy, counseling, or professional advice.

b. Access & Eligibility.

Non-AI notes are available to guests and logged-in users (features like copy/share/translate may require login).
AI notes require login. We may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse. Admin accounts may be exempt from limits for maintenance.

c. Daily Limits & Cooldowns.

Non-AI: 1 non-AI note per rolling 24 hours per user or device/session (guests are tracked using IP address + device fingerprint cookie).
AI: 1 AI note per logged-in user per rolling 24 hours. Paying again will not bypass this cooldown.
A “use” occurs when the system attempts to generate/deliver the note.
To reduce repetition, previously seen notes are tracked; repeats are avoided for at least the period shown in the interface (default 90 days).

d. Payments & Single-Use Unlocks.

When enabled, AI notes require a one-time payment per note. A successful payment unlocks a single AI generation. After generation, the payment token/flag is cleared.
Non-refundable once access begins. Do not purchase if you are still in cooldown—you will not be able to generate until you are eligible again. The interface will show your status where possible.

e. Immediate Access & Consumer Rights (UK/EU).

By paying for an AI note and starting generation, you request immediate digital content and acknowledge you lose your 14-day cancellation right once delivery begins.

f. Cookies, Device Fingerprints & Local Storage.

We use cookies and user meta to store seen-note history (e.g., lngp_seen_*), payment unlock status (e.g., lngp_ai_payment_confirmed), and cooldown flags.
Guests are rate-limited using IP address and a device fingerprint string provided by the client to enforce fairness.
We log aggregate per-day usage counts by user type and country to a server-side file for analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details.

g. Content & Conduct.

Do not submit prompts that contain others’ personal data without permission or that are illegal, abusive, hateful, or infringing.
We may remove content or restrict access to protect users and the service.

h. Availability & Changes.

We may modify models, limits, prices, interfaces, or availability at any time. We do not guarantee any particular result, originality, or uptime.

i. Licensing of Outputs.

For personal use, you may copy/share the note as presented by the service (subject to login locks or share limits in the UI). Commercial use may require prior written permission.

10. LoveBites™ (Smart Meal & Drink) — Additional Terms

a. Description. AI-generated suggestions for meals and drinks, informational only; not a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for your ingredient choices, allergies, and dietary restrictions.

b. Access & Billing.

Guests may access LoveBites under free/cooldown rules or by purchasing a pass/bundle (if offered).
Logged-in users may purchase credits.
The quantity of uses, covered categories (Meal and/or Drink), validity/expiration window, and pricing are shown in the interface or at checkout and are incorporated into these Terms.

c. Usage & Cooldowns.

A “use” is deducted when a suggestion is generated.
Some offers may pool uses across categories; others may allocate uses per category (see UI).
Cooldowns in free mode (and/or per category) apply as shown in the UI.

d. Expiration.

Passes/credits may expire after a fixed window or renewal period, as displayed in the interface or at checkout. Expired/unused credits are not redeemable.

e. Non-Transferable; Fair Use.

Passes/credits are personal to you and may not be shared, resold, or sublicensed.
Automated scraping, bulk querying, reverse engineering, or abuse is prohibited. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

f. Service Changes & Availability.

We may modify rate limits, cooldowns, available categories, or outputs, and may pause or discontinue LoveBites at any time. No guarantee of a particular result or availability.

g. Payments.

Payments are processed by our payment partners (e.g., PayPal). By purchasing, you authorize the applicable charges. Prices and fees may change.

h. Privacy.

We process your prompts and usage data to operate and improve LoveBites in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Features, pricing, and availability (including AI models, limits, passes/credits) may change or be discontinued.
